After waiting a while for the perfect moment to show off his driving skills, he did it in spectacular style — with just three minor faults. And when the examiner finally told him he’d passed, the screech of delight Uchenna let out was so loud, I’m pretty sure I needed ear defenders! But honestly, that joyful outburst showed just how much this achievement meant to him.
Uchenna lives in Sunderland but works in Durham, which means that in the new year, he’ll have much more time for himself and his family — no more long commutes of three to four hours each day! And with his wedding next year, there’s even more reason to celebrate.

Honor passed her driving test today at the first time of asking, with only a single driving fault. Storm Floris caused chaos on the roads earlier, but Honor remained calm throughout, even when the top-box nearly flew off on the A19 during her test. A delight to teach, with a warm personality and extremely polite manner, Honor requested her photo be taken outside the Stadium of Light—a cheeky challenge for Ian, who supports the team up the road.
It just goes to show that you can’t always be perfect.

Ian was our first PDI, qualifying in double quick time. Instructor trainer Stu has yet another pass to add to his record.
